Nobody wants me like Him: with all His power and strength.
Everybody likes to have me only to a certain length.
One would ask me to a dinner if only I were a race winner.
Another likes to visit me to take the things I give to him.
A third would give me all I wish provided I approved his dish.
A fourth loves me as a pet and shuts me in his cabinet.
A fifth would have me half a price to make his profit rise twice.
A sixth would sell me for a copper to rid himself of burden proper.
There is only one who wants me all ─ the One who made me in His form.
For the Maker knows the pain and weight to create a being of such a state
And would never let me dispose as waste for He paid the price with His own death.
